New Year, New Wardrobe - Style Resolutions for 2015

1. Start with a clean slate

The easiest way to get your best wardrobe this year is to start with the bare necessities. Take that time to go through your wardrobe, empty it all out, give it a good sweep and begin putting the pieces back in one by one. Not only will it feel great to get those pesky dust bunnies out of there but will also make you go through your wardrobe piece by piece and edit out those items that you have been meaning to get rid of.

2. Stick to the 1 year rule

When you're going through your wardrobe, ask yourself if you've worn the piece in the last year. If the answer is 'No' chances are that you won't ever wear it and that it's probably time to part ways. Think of it less as losing money but more as an opportunity to bring in pieces that will get much more mileage in your closet!

3. Don't be afraid to take risks

When you're out shopping this year and looking at revamping your day-to-day wardrobe, we would like to urge you to take that leap and go for pieces that you wouldn't normally. If they make you feel great we say go for it! Sometimes trend pieces that emerge one season end up sticking around for a lot longer than just one season.

4. Shop smart

What we're talking about when we say 'shop smart' is to make sure that you're not impulsively buying items. Some super helpful tips to follow are to try to think of at least 3 different ways in which you can wear whatever you're thinking of buying. If you can make a piece work and be versatile, chances of buyers remorse will decrease dramatically. Also, make sure to look for quality over quantity. Buy pieces that will carry through the year and get the mileage that you intended.

5. Remember that Fashion can be bought, but Style is eternal

This is the big one, ladies. We so often get sucked in to traps of the 'It' bags, must-have shoes...you get the point. It's how you make these items work for you that is a true testament of your personal style! Go forth and conquer in whatever makes you comfortable, happy, and feeling your absolute best!
