i suppose i created
this site for selfish reasons - i want as many DM shows as i can
get (the collector in me, you see). if you're willing to tape shows,
i'll be willing to do an immediate trade, usually giving you quite
a bit in return as i'm getting something i don't already have.
david is aware of this site and aware
of the tape trading policies and such, and he is a big supporter
of it. the reason i say this is so you have no worries about having
to sneak in recording equipment to shows - there's nothing to sneak.
ultimately the best way to tape a
show is with a DAT recorder or minidisc recorder (the recent shows
i taped are from minidisc masters). if you don't have access to
high-end equipment, a cassette recording is better than no recording
at all.
i encourage you to tape any shows
you attend and help get the live database going. any questions,
etc., feel free to email
me.
in the process of remastering all
of my DM shows from the original masters, they will show up here
as i remaster them. the trades section will now be a database
of songs performed and all known recordings of them, and will be
updated as i obtain new (and remaster old) shows.

Where available, I will list what instrument David
played as accurately as possible as to differentiate arrangements.
As David plays solo shows as well as shows with bands consisting
of different people, the arrangements can differ greatly between
shows and I've tried to reflect that as much as possible.
On each song page, you will find notations in
the last column as such:
band / solo - this refers to the
arrangement of the song on this night; songs can be listed as solo
during band shows if David plays them as such.
duo - listed as such if David plays with one other
person on stage; instruments listed following would be the instrument
David plays followed by whichever other instument is being played.
acoustic - David plays a 6 string acoustic during
the performance of this song.
electric - David plays a 6 string electric during
the performance of this song.
12str - David plays a 12 string acoustic during
the performance of this song.
uke / ukelele - David plays a
ukelele during the performance of this song.
piano - David plays house piano during the performance
of this song.
keyboard - David plays his keyboard during the
performance of this song.
Other instruments are listed only if it is a duo
performance (see above).
U following all of this means that the song was
performed unplugged, usually at the end of a set. Sometimes the
recordings of these are quite difficult to hear.
