Tips for the Transitional Wardrobe

With August winding down and the  Autumn months right around the corner, it's hard not to anticipate dressing for chillier days. But fret not, your closet may not need a drastic 180 quite yet. You can still maximize your favourite Summer pieces with a few helpful additions and tips!

Mix Your Weights

Bring those light weight silky maxi skirts and dresses into the fall months with a heavier knit cardigan on top. Not only will the mixing keep you warm but will also add some interest with unexpected textures that will play on each others strengths.

Layering it Up

Build on your current wardrobe with lots of layers and great accessories that will work overtime in the cool months. The great thing about layering is that it's a super easy way to maintain your style even if the weather is being less than predictable. We recommend a great denim top and a large but lightweight scarf.

Bootie Bootie Bootie

The bootie may be the ultimate shoe for transitional months because they look good with, well, just about everything. Opt for a style  in a neutral colour as well as a manageable and thick heel to increase your stamina and transition perfectly from day to night.

It's All About the Jacket

Nothing polishes off an outfit better than the perfect jacket. We suggest opting for something with a great fit to be worn over top of little dresses or skirts to give you just the right level of sophistication at the office as well as on top of light weight sweaters for weekend errands.
