Fraser Valley Wine Tour

Fraser Valley Wine Tour

BC Wine Tour with Fashion & Wine Bloggers

We met Fashion and Wine Bloggers Emily and Chanel at Eco-Fashion Week and fell in love them immediately. These two fun-loving sisters are best friends who generously share their adventures in style and wine-tasting with readers of their popular blog, A Glass of Style

Wine Bloggers from A Glass of Style

For the longest time, we intended on going on an Okanagan Wine Tour with them and blogging about it. However the logistics of multiple schedules, transportation, accommodation, and organizing a tour of multiple wineries hours away proved a bit overwhelming.

By the time Fall rolled around, we were desperate to organize something before the weather grew too cold and before most BC wineries started harvesting their grapes. Enter the good people at "Signature Wine Tours" in the Fraser Valley. Husband and wife Duo Dan and Lisa did all the organizing for us, and even picked us up at our downtown Vancouver store! We corralled a group of friends together, and had a "Sunday Funday" to remember. Dan took us to five very charming, warm, welcoming, local wineries all within a 45 minute distance from the city. Lisa met us at one of the wineries with a delicious lunch prepared. The wines were incredible and everyone had a wonderful time.

Our first stop was the incredibly charming Wellbrook Winery in Delta. Their picturesque barnyard setting was perfect fashion blogger fodder, and their wine tasting room in their restored Old Grainery was warm, and inviting with its antique furnishings and fixtures. Wellbrook specializes in fruit wines and pure fruit juices. We purchased Cranberry, Rhubarb, Blueberry, and Strawberry wines. We can't wait to go back and check out one of their on-site gourmet cooking classes!

Our next stop was the award-winning Backyard Vineyards. We tasted bubblies, whites, and reds, and had a spot of lunch. Our favourite Backyard was the Nosey Neighbour Red

Our third stop on the tour was Township 7, located in the south Langley countryside. We loved frolicking in their on-site vineyard filled with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines, and then immediately tasting the final product in their tasting room.

Chaberton Estate Winery was the biggest and most established winery on our tour, with an on-site vineyard, private and public tasting rooms, and their famous Bacchus Bistro onsite. We purchased (and consumed!) a few bottles of Bacchus White.

Blackwood Lane Winery

Our final stop on the tour was Blackwood Lane Vineyards. While we LOVED the 2008 Alliànce bordeaux blend, by far the best part of this boutique winery is it's charismatic and passionate founder, Carlos Lee. Carlos -- who truly embodies his company motto of "Bonus Vita et Bonus Amici" (Good Life and Good Friends) -- is passionate about wine and it's power to create memorable moments shared with friends.

Thank you again to Signature Wine Tours and A Glass of Style for a "Sunday Funday" to remember!
