James Jebbia founded Supreme in 1994 in New York City - in the heart of NY skate culture. Instantly the flagship store became a home for skaters and creatives alike, and from there the cult-like following was born. Immediately it turned global; Supreme began working with artists, photographers, designers and creatives alike, who contributed to the brand’s unique identity. Their most iconic product is their simple white tee with the signature red box with the brand name in white lettering. This simple design contrasts what streetstyle usually is, and contributes to the brand’s originality and success. Their highly-coveted products are extremely limited and sell out instantly - only releasing 5-15 items of stock once a week. This exclusivity strategy has worked well for the brand, as their fans are more than willing to wait in the long lines every day.
